Edmonton Maternity Photographer | Isn’t she Lovely?

I was listening to the radio yesterday and the song, “Isn’t she Lovely” was on, it is thoroughly stuck in my head today, and when looking at these images, it is the first thing that popped into my head. :0) This lady is indeed lovely. She and her husband were wonderful to work with, and I can’t wait to meet the little one she has growing in her belly next month! :0) Enjoy!

It was so much fun getting to meet and photograph this gorgeous mom-to-be and her husband! As you can see she is beautiful, and I am sure her babe will be too! Maternity sessions are so much fun, the session is all about the mother and father to be, and their love for each other. When baby comes along it becomes all about the baby, this is the last time they will be just them, from now on they will be a family. Be on the look out, I can’t wait to meet the new little person in October!

I am so excited for this wonderful family! I know, I know, a photographer is not supposed to have favorites, but this lady is one of my favorite clients ( don’t worry dears, you are ALL my favorites LOL!) I have had the privilege, (and fun) of photographing this big kid when he was in her belly and several times since, and now they get to welcome a new person into their family! It is all so exciting!!!!!! When asked if mommy has a baby in her stomach, he will reply, quite seriously, “no a pancake.” So apparently, mom will be giving birth to a pancake in just 2 short months. :0) I wonder if baby pancake will be quite as good looking and wonderful as the first ( is that possible?)? Of course he will be dear, mothers don’t have favorites! :0) he, he…

Models Needed

Hi all, I am in need of some models for my workshop taking place May 13-14 2011. I will be teaching other professional photographers how to take gorgeous images of beautiful maternity and newborns.

Sooooo…. I need some newborns and pregnant ladies to use as models.

If you are expecting a newborn and it is anticiapted that they will be less than 10 days old on May 13-14, I would love to use them as models for the workshop.

If you are expecting a baby and will be 27-31 weeks preganant on May 13-14 we would love to have both you and your husband model for us.

You will need to sign a release allowing the images to be used on the photographer’s website.

In return you will receive a FREE full length session.

An 11×14 of your choice from your session

AND (yes, but wait there’s more…! :0) ) a full set of proofs of the images from your session!

Here is a sneak peek for a gorgeous mom and dad to be. :0) I love taking maternity images, they are one of my very favorite things to shoot. I love the excitement, and the anticipation of meeting this new little life inside them. I remember how unattractive I felt when I was pregnant, and it makes me so happy to be the person who gets to show my clients how gorgeous their pregnant belly is. Enjoy your sneak peek guys, I can’t wait to meet your baby. :0)

Edmonton Photographer | Workshop images

As you all probably know- I taught a workshop to a few of my favorite new friends (also known as professional photographers) last weekend. It was really fun! :0) The gals were great- and I have always loved to teach (went to university to be a teacher actually) so I had a blast. :0)

We had so many wonderful models- and I am so grateful to them for modeling for us. So many times one of the other photographers would say- “Where do you get such gorgeous client?!” or ask if I had everyone send in pictures- and then I choose the models from there. I actually did not do that on purpose. I wanted to be surprised by the people who walked through my door.

On a normal day – unless some one has been a client in the past – I don’t know what the people who walk through my door are going to look like, and I wanted the workshop attendees to have that same experience. Every person is different and it is important to be able to work on the fly, and find every person’s beauty. These models just made it a bit too easy on all of us. :0)

Thanks again everyone- I will be done editing all the images soon, and I will send them out to you.

We started out the day with this cutie…

And moved on to this sweet LITTLE baby- he was a bit over 4 pounds!

Next up were these two GORGEOUS maternity models… some of the images are just a bit too private to share. (wink )

Then later in the day we had the kiddies visit us.

Whew…. that was the end of day one.

Day 2 started with another sweet baby….

And then we moved on to another few cute kids…

And then… we moved onto editing for the next few hours- it really was a busy two days. I think it was great though, I REALLY enjoyed myself, and it was fun to share what I know about my style of photography with other wonderful photographers! :0)

Can you believe this tiny, tiny lady has TWO babies in her little baby bump? It is incredible! :0) This was such a fun session with a gorgeous mom and dad, and that beautiful belly. I can’t wait to see the two little babies that are coming in July. This dad is a twin also I was surprised to hear, so I guess it really does run in families. Congratulations guys, I will contact you next week with your full gallery.

When you were little did someone ever tell you that a pregnant lady had eaten watermelon seeds and that’s why her tummy was so big? My Grandpa told me that- he scarred me forever- I was always SURE to spit out the seeds when eating watermelon! :0)

This lady has the most perfect tummy! She was so fun to photograph- I can’t wait to see the watermelon that comes out of that belly! :0)

I want to announce part two of my anniversary celebration. The next special is on the Kids Digital Mini Sessions- these have been going so well- I love the response, and I know everyone is thrilled with the images they have been getting.

Until May 15th sign up for any digital mini session to take place in 2010, and receive 15 files instead of 10! It is a value of over $1000 for only $650! Pretty great- but it is only for sessions booked from today to May 15.

Congratulations on that new little baby inside that cute tummy! Isn’t that such a little tummy? She is really very pregnant, but I think she is going to be one of those women who are small through out their pregnancy. Lucky, lucky!
