I am catching up on posting some sessions that I have done recently- it is so hard to find time to work with my 4 boys at home during the summer, so I am a bit behind.

thank you for the wonderful response to my moel call-

I have lots of children! :0) I am still looking for maternity, and newborns- I have 2 newborns- but would like 2 more, just incase some of those little people aren’t born on schedule.

So I still need…

Newborn- less than 10 days old as of September 10-11- if you are due the last week of August or First week of September- this is for you! :0)

Maternity- between 26-30 weeks pregnant as of September 10-11.

All models will receive at least 10 digital files on a disc- a value of $1050- for free! If you are interested- please email me at secretan@shaw.ca

I love summer! It is so nice to be outside- to see leaves and flowers! It is one of my very favorite times of year to photograph also, so I am always excited when summer rolls around. I have photographed these two beautiful little girls a few times, and it is always so nice to work with their family. :0) They are so relaxed and fun to be with. The older little girl can just pull out those fake laughs for me now- LOVE IT! Thanks for a great session guys.

We had to stop in the middle of this session to find an overhang to hide under because of the rain- it stormed for a bit and then cleared up for us to finish. The stormy skies are beautiful in the images though- so I guess a bit of rain was ok. LOL These little girls were so amazingly good- and can you believe how good looking they all are? So fun to photograph. :0) Thanks guys for a fun evening- I hope you love your sneak peek… just wait until you see the rest!

“A Noise With Dirt In It.” Having 4 little boys myself I have always loved that definition of boys! These two cuties reminded me so much of that, as I was editing their images- I knew what I had to call this post. They are just 5 and 2 years old, and were up for anything that involved running or playing- not so much sitting. :0) It is actually what I love about boys- all that energy, and all those fun faces and expressions. These two gave me a LOT of fun looks and fun expressions, so their session was great! :0) I kept telling their mom to expect a lot of “lifestyle” type images- she asked me what that meant once- I was so distracted by her cute kids- I’m not sure I ever answered her question- “Life style Photography” is allowing the kids to be themselves- letting them run and play, and as a photographer- getting to join in the fun, by catching glimpses of who they really are- dirty faces, and funny looks included! :O)

Photographer’s Workshop Update

Thank You all so much for all the interest in my up coming workshop! It was wonderful to receive so many emails expressing interest in it.

just wanted to clarify a few points…

I DO live in Canada, you DO need a passport if you fly here, but it is not a long flight- or like flying across the ocean- we DO speak the same language as you, and we don’t have a really strong accent, (so you should be able to understand me just fine! ). In September there will be no snow on the ground here- so you should be safe to drive! :0) LOL (However you will want to bring a jacket. :0) ) Passports are actually pretty quick to get- so if you apply now you will have plenty of time to get yours. And really shouldn’t you have a passport handy anyway? How else will your husband be able to sweep you away on a romantic European holiday! LOL

I will teach you everything I know- and you will walk away a better photographer. I am putting a lot of thought into this workshop and actually I have put it off as long as I have because I have always wanted to do a GREAT workshop- not just a workshop. I am excited! I know you all will love it.

I have filled some spots, and I do still have a couple available- so come on up – or over if you already live in Canada! There is no better way to improve your photography than by going and learning with someone who does something you want to do- so if you think I do something well- come and learn it from me! :0)

Edmonton Baby Photographer | Little Guy

This little guy is such a cutie! He came in for his first birthday, I was amazed at how much he has grown since I saw him at his newborn session. It’s funny though- because he has gotten bigger and changed, but he still looks like he did when he was little. What a cutie! This was one of my digital mini sessions, so he was only in for 30 minutes, but we got soooo many wonderful images- you are going to have a hard time choosing your 10 digital files that go with the digital mini session! :0)

These two little people were so much fun to photograph- well- the little girl was fun, the little guy wasn’t too sure what was going on and didn’t really want his picture taken- but he was super cute any way! :0) He was funny- he would smile and be friendly as long as he wasn’t in front of the camera- if I had the camera though he wasn’t interested! :0) This little girl was great to photograph- she was just a little model, and we ended up with so many great images! Have fun choosing mom and dad!

Worth The Wait…|Edmonton Baby Photographer

I was thinking as I edited these images that they were worth waiting for (it took me a bit longer to put them up on the blog than I had planned), then I remembered from a year ago, when the lucky parents of these two beautiful girls told me that it had been difficult to conceive them. I think they are indeed “worth the wait”! They are gorgeous little people, and I am IN LOVE with so many of their images! Do you remember this image? This is them in the bowl the week after they were born, and them with the same bowl now- it is amazing what a year can bring. Enjoy guys- I will contact you with your full gallery next week! :0)I couldn’t decide between color and black and white for this image, the color is so beautiful, but the black and white just has something special too… sigh, you’ll just need both I guess! :0)Cake smash time!! I haven’t done this in a while, and it was so much fun!! Those little girls just went to town on their birthday cupcakes, it was their birthday last week, so they had practiced up, and knew exactly what to do!

I have been able to photograph this family several times, and I love seeing them come back, and being able to see how they have grown and changed. Little Miss Thang wasn’t so into having her pictures taken this year, but since she is gorgeous we were able to get a few anyway! You’ve gotta love the candy bribe, it got her to stay in one place for a few seconds! 0) Her big brother was just wonderful to work with. He is 4 almost 5 which is a great age to photograph. He knew what was going on, and what to do, he even struck a few of his own poses- very handsome! I hope you all love your sneak peek, I will contact you soon with the rest of your gallery!

Boys

I love photographing kids- they are so fun to be around, they are just themselves. These two are seriously gorgeous little guys. Love their blue eyes and lips on the oldest are just super sweet! The littlest guy wasn’t having a great time on picture day, and wasn’t happy in front of the camera, but I think we got some great images anyway. Sorry about your sneak peak taking a bit longer than normal, I was away at a photography workshop. I hope you love these images as much as I do. Your children are beautiful.
