I am so behind in blogging sessions right now! I have had so many beautiful sessions and have truly enjoyed them all. I am not going to blog the images from the Christmas Card Mini sessions I did a few weeks ago, because I want everyone’s images to be a surprise when they send their beautiful custom Christmas Cards to their family and friends this Christmas, I will try to remember to blog them after Christmas.

Here are 4 sweet little people who each had a Bitty Session this month. In case you don’t know what a Bitty Session is, they are the shorter sessions that I offer. Bitty Sessions are perfect for when you just need to update a child’s picture, mark a special occasion like a birthday, or just want to try out custom photography.

These little people are all so cute, and I love their images! I will contact you all with your galleries soon!

It is fall and it is really the most beautiful time of the year for outside sessions! I have been enjoying myself outdoors, and had a blast with this gorgeous family. I have loved getting to see their children grow over the last couple of years as I have photographed their family. They are pretty gorgeous aren’t they? :0)

I love photographing children with their siblings! Oh, I know it is not always sweetness and light, at least it isn’t in MY house, but I think that is what makes sibling images so precious! For a moment they were sweet to each other, and you get to capture it forever. :0) I do love to see them showing the love they feel for each other. Look at these two cuties together, I am not positive, but I have feeling this is really what it looks like around their house all the time! These two little people are really the sweetest, most gentle children, it was a pleasure to photograph them.

I have rediscovered my love for family portraits! I guess what got me thinking about, and wanting to do them again, is my own family. I want pictures of ME with my children! They are getting so big, so fast, and I want them to remember this time. That I love them, that I cuddled and snuggled them, that we were each other’s entire world. When photographing children it is just a natural extension of that to take images of them with their family. The family is the child’s most important relationship. Wrestling with Dad, snuggling up with Mom, nothing is more precious. When shooting families I try very hard to take the kind of images I would like of myself with my children, after all, what is a picture but a little piece of how the photographer sees the world? I have been loving this fall, and all my clients who allow me to photograph their family and see their love for each other. Enjoy…

I had such a nice night with these two little girls! I don’t have any sisters myself, but have always wanted one, so it was fun to see them together. Don’t let their angelic looks fool you, they are quite feisty, especially the little one, but that always makes for the best images since the feisty ones give you so many fun faces and expressions to work with! :0) I hope you love the sneak peek of these two girls, just being sisters.

Ah, the light… I am so happy to be outside shooting again! The light is so lovely. I have a special place in my heart for both studio and outdoor photography, I am lucky to be able to do both, and I love it!

I first met this family when these two beautiful girls were born, and it has been wonderful to be able to watch them grow. Every session we have produces another of my all time favorite images, and this time was no exception. They are adorable!

Remember that 1.5 to 2 weeks of rain we just had? This family was scheduled right in the middle of that. We ended up having to reschedule, and were able to have a beautiful sunny day for our session. I love the connection between this family. I always want to take pictures of others that I would want of myself or my husband with our children. Sure every moment of every day is not sweetness, laughter and kissing, but I would like to REMEMBER it that way! LOL! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I love these images of mom with her kids. What wonderful connections between them. This mom participated in the summer mini sessions that I had in June. I love so many of the images, and I know she will too. :0) I am loving taking family pictures again! I have to take them this way though, no forced smiles, sitting in your best clothes and looking straight at the camera. I stopped doing family pictures and started to focus just on children’s photography because I kept getting requests for those types of images. There are lots of photographers who do those images, and do them well. I am not one of them. They don’t bring a smile to my face, and really, I need to smile while I work. These images make me smile, not just that, they make my heart happy. This is what family is about, this is what love is…
